Fir Pete's Sake!

Well it was go pick up the fir trees day yesterday.

This time was mostly fir branches. We wanted one last load for the winter to make sure that the does have it easy at kidding time.

J and I had fun unloading the branches.  It so funny to see the goats run for them, the minute they see us drive in.

The donkeys on the other hand, just don't see what all the fuss is about.

I can fly!!!!

They can't decide where to start!

Donkey's..."what's all the fuss about?"

Maggie digging in!

Queen of the mountain on our new rock pile!

J. and Slate cuddling

Who's going to win?

Kissy, kissy

A little bit of this...a little bit of that

Blogger is driving me nuts! Does anyone else have so many issues with uploading pics? Or putting them on your blog?  Most of the time it won't let me upload pics or I'll center the photos and when I save it, they're all crooked.  So just to let everyone know...I do center the pics, just Blogger screws up!

I'm actually thinking of moving my blog to some other site. Dunno.

Anyway.  I was going to put pics of our Christmas season up but Blogger won't let me. Grrrr
This is all I could manage.

Christmas was wonderful. No snow...but still wonderful. We had Dave's dad over for lobster on Christmas Eve.  Then Christmas day we had my parents over for turkey lunch.

J. and I went Christmas eve to the midnight mass (which is now at 9pm...go figure) with my parents. They're still Catholic.  They actually asked me and J. to bring the "baby Jesus" to the front to the alter.  That was cool and quite the honor.

I took the week off and that's the best part!

Leaving their school Christmas concert

J. and Emilie getting a bellyrub.

Poutine doing what she does best...sleep on our bed.

Cute Christmas ornament Dave found for us.

Binoo can't handle the stress of the Christmas hubbub.

So to you and all... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Big church on the hill

The day has finally come! Sunday we had our first official service in our new church.

It used to be the little church in the vale, now it's the big church on the hill.
I started taking photos and the more I was looking at the them, the more I realized that photos were not doing the church justice. So I just stopped taking them. But here's a few to give
you an idea what it looks like.

Our old church could fit 130 people.  This one fits 250!

Now we have to fill it.

But with God, all things are possible.  So it's just a matter of time before it's full.

Our old church. This was the photo we had taken for the 100th anniversary.
A few weeks ago our pastor announced that we could go write our favourite Bible verse on the floor before they covered it with the flooring.  That way if the floor was full of Bible verses then we would be standing on God's word.  We thought it was a neat idea.

So we all wrote a few verses.
My favorite verse is the one that goes, "Raise up a child in the way he will go..."

J. wrote the shortest Bible verse,  "Jesus wept."
Dave's was a bit longer.."Be still and know that I am God..."

It was great. The church floor is full of verses.

Have a Blessed Evening
