Jamie has started on his drum lessons again. He hasn't play drums in about 3 years.
But after the hullaballoo of lasts year's hockey season he didn't want to play anymore.
I don't blame him.
So he's started on his drum lessons again.
Well we had a Christian band come and play at church for the youth last weekend.
They stayed for the service on Sunday morning and played a few songs.
And guess what?!
They asked Jamie to play a song with them.
He's never played in front of anyone before and he'd only had one lesson since he began again.
But he actually did it, and looked and sounded like a pro!
We were sooooo proud of him.
Have a Blessed Day

Lisa, yeah, nothing better than the sound of drums in the house. When I was in high school a couple of my buddies and I would get together and just jam. One was a drummer, one was a guitar player, and I was a guitar player. I haven't touched a guitar in over 30 years. I really should pick it up again but life just doesn't seem to allow time for that. My grandson is nearing the time (9) when I started my musical journey. Hopefully, I can without a whole lot of convincing get him to move into learning about music. I believe music is a must through life's journey. Hopefully, Bradley, my grandson, will follow a music path that will enhance his quality of life. Music can inspire the soul or destroy the soul. My prayers are that his choices will be to inspire the soul.
ReplyDeleteHave a great drum roll day. :0)
